TESCO
During the past months Tesco has received a lot of demo´s and promotional copies.
due to lack of time we weren´t able to respond to all of them. Thanx for your trust and
faith. we try our best but the work here is immense, so we are not able to answer to all parties.
please don´t send anything related to gothic or electro music.
we do like folk music but are not the right address for possible releases, please contact
the suitable labels like Hauruck/WKN/NER directly.
In the past we´ve discovered most new groups on Tesco by demo copies they send us, so
keep up the good work and don´t be angry if we don´t respond directly.

LIVE REPORT
CON-DOM / GENOCIDE ORGAN
IN JAPAN/TOKYO 1.3.03 + 5.3.03
1 March 2003: 20000V
Live action: Everyone all seems to be in now with the show ready to begin,
damn it was packed! we pushed our way through the front to await the arrival
onstage of the almighty CON-DOM….
What a performance! …Mike Dando can certainly let it out like crazy…at times
getting in the middle of the crowd, pushing and shoving turning it to a sort
of mosh pit…the set was extremely aggressive, especially the final track
'Commando Terreur' which definitely set a very strong reaction and impact!(Rob)
The club was perfect for an evening like this, quite small but very compact,
with a heavy good balanced PA and monitoringsystem. Con-Dom started with a
hell lot of noise and created his unique atmosphere of terror before he took of his
shirt and pulled over his "rape"-mask for the track "Women need rape". Definitely the
climax of the show: this song really made the audience freak out and when Mike
jumped into the audience and started to molest some japanese girls a sort of
slam-dancing started. The whole set was good and the reaction of the audience towards
it was brilliant, but this was just the opener for an even better Con-Dom show to come.(Cato)
"After CON-DOM finished his great set, everyone eagerly awaited the German
Industrial legends: GENOCIDE ORGAN
Nice to be on the front row to experience this spectacular performance…the
atmosphere was simply amazing as the GO guys placed a solid thin sheet of
metal in the middle of the stage, complete with an empty oil barrel…behind
this was the large projection screen and the racks of equipment…The stage
was set with the GO guys masked and uniformed…incense was lit under the
sleet metal as the show commenced…the trade mark 'Welcome to Central
Industrial' appears on the projection video accompanied by various powerful
film footage…As the ultra heavy electronic barrage commenced as the oil drum
was hit to a strong industrial percussion, the sleet metal was hit, scrached
and played with such a great sound… They continued with a provoking assault
on the senses until the end where they took their masks off to such a heavy
applause and appreciation!"(Rob)
Mar.1st 2003.Very first time in Japanese history, real industrial bands perform in Japan, Tokyo!
The venue is 20000V at Koenji, typical live house 20 minutes train ride from Tokyo station.
Tonight Genocide Organ performs here with Con-Dom.
After a massive set of Con-Dom, Genocide Organ appears on the stage with scent of burning ......
Someone shouted with excitement. They are armed with ordinary equipments and a metal barrel
,a metal sheet and a metal pipe.Wearing unifroms and camouflage masks.
With distorted heavy loops they start their performance. One member with a metal pipe moves it
, up and down , in the metal barrel. It adds sinister moods with their sounds.
And then they speed up their heavy rhythms.Twin terrorizing voice with thunderous
industrial noise! Industrial Blitzkrieg! There is Japanese saying "gaishu-issyoku",
meaning even a touch of his armor kills you.Absolutely,it is like this. After having
incaded our land/mind,they overlook their conquest.
They speak with distorted voice and ,once again and with another way, scar us.
Background music is buzzing sounds, someone hits metal sheets, swirling voices.
Finally they start engines again.Their tanks are roaring, commanders are shouting,
military men are running around us.Total chaos, total destruction, total nihilization.
Leaving us with no idea what's going on here and there, they leave stage alongside
strange Japanese song.I am just freaked out. (Takahiko-san)

5 March 2003: Die Pratze
" Die Pratze was a different sort of venue compared to the first, 20000V …this
was more like a small theater, rather than the 'live band/bar' type setting
of 20000V, the first venue. We all eventually gathered in, took our seats,
said hello to everyone, and awaited for the shows to start..
First thing I noticed was that on the centre of the stage was a small
podium, on it was a book and a small bowl. The video screen came on and the
noise slowly eased its way inside the dark theatre…An extremely powerful
performance then commenced which was simply awe-inspiring. CON-DOM then
proceded to read text concerning Seppuku with text inspired by Mishima,
along with the accompanying screen images…He then dipped his hand in the
bowl(filled with blood) and proceded to wipe it all over his head and body
as he read through the text of ritual suicide and patriotism….he then
proceded to anoint the front row audience members on their forehead with
blood then continued until a powerful standing finale…a defining moment with
everyone on their feet filled with very strong emotion. "(ROB)
" The club being described before, was totally different to what I saw before,
with the bands feeling like being on a platform or arena. This was where I
experienced one of my favourite Con-Dom gigs ever, there´s not much to add to
aboves description, apart from that you were able to hear tracks from "All in
good faith", "Oh ye off little faith" , "Some people never got the chance" and "Many
are called ". Together with the very impressive performance, which nowhere fitted better
than here, Mike showed selfshot Mishima -grave impressions, slides of Mishimas seppuku
and he read a text from Patriotism while it was also shown on a screen behind him in
japanese language…great output, great intend, great impact…I´m happy having been there.
The sound was all the way through the performance perfect, and also the voice was so."(Cato)
"Mar.5th 2003.Second performance was held at Die Platze at Shibuya also in Tokyo area.
It is kind of small theater with sloping seats. I asked them to perform differently from
from their first show and they promised me to do more silent stuff, if they can be silent.
And we , audience , witness different faces of them.
Con-Dom performed more wildly this time and finally all the audience made stood up as he ordered
, it was very impressive time for me and , hopefully , all." (Takahiko-san)
"GENOCIDE ORGAN then arrived on stage, and what followed would live in our
memories for a very long time..
They put red blindfolds over their eyes as the first song commenced, the
words were chanted, the sheets of paper were then handed out to the audience
as footage of war and nuclear disaster projected on the screen. GO continued
on with the set with strong reverberated vocals and with a performance which
was just as powerful,…they then eventually brought out some guitars and
proceeded to move the audience with footage of 'nuclear Japan', and finished
off the performance just as strongly as they began…. "(Rob)
"And they come to the stage dressed in black, but no masks. Armed with ordinary
equipments and electric guitars!
Two men cover their eyes with red headbands, they speak calmly and solemnly.
They hand us brown papers saying "FILTH BREEDS FILTH" AND "NIHIL EST NIHIL EST NIHIL.....".
Tonight they are not so loudas before. Sound is much calmer and voices are not so aggressive.
I have never heard Genocide Organ with such a style. It must be , as one member said ,
"Japanese special". Especially, the last song with images of atomic bombs and its casualities
etc on the screen, they play kind of sorrow and even,in some extent ,melancholic pieces.
Two members on the front line are crossing their arms on the chest and stand still.Atmosphere
becomes more serious and darker, the smoke machine spewed smokes , injured women ,
a big blast of A-bomb , collapsed buildings. Music creates perfect background for
those images. Yes, that sound was really imagenary. But there is no cheap or soap opera
like naive attitude.Because of their serious interests in contents they can make such a
great music and atmosphere.I confirm this at this moment. And I really love their serious
attitude. When music stopped,I see,at least one of two members on front line vowed to us
as if he wanted to show his condolence to us,Japanese." (Takhiko-san)
Pictures of 5.3.2003
"Both the concerts were monumental and landmark events I feel so honoured to
witness…with so many nice people, so many great memories."(Rob)
(D.0treb0r. Tokyo 06/03/03 )
"On both occasions the atmosphere and the audience was special, unlike during many european gigs
where some people like to discuss their latest record buys during a show, the audience was
truly into it and listenend in a polite manner. The japanese really proofed that they
are able to arrange perfect shows."(Cato)
